EVENT OVERVIEW
Event Dates: April 24th -28th 2024
Event Location: Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport Arena
Host Hotel: Four Points by Sheraton Calgary West, rates from $159/night. Includes Buffet Breakfast. CLICK HERE to book. Cut-off Date March 23rd.
Parking: Large lot with free parking
Arrival: Doors open at 8:00am daily.
Admission to Regular Competition: Free
Admission to Evolve DanceDown Finals: $20 Adults, $15 Youth/Seniors, $5 Dancers/Child 5 years and under. ON SALE MARCH 13TH 9AM (only available for purchase online - no tickets available at the venue).

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Download the Dance Bug app to view the schedule, livestream, and also download your photos and videos after the competition (included for FREE with your registration at Evolve).
ARRIVING AT THE VENUE
The venue will open at 8:00am each morning.
MEDAL PICK-UP
Dancers should check-in with the Merchandise booth in the lobby when they first arrive at Evolve, to collect their Event Medal. Wear your medal on stage for awards, and collect pins for your placements!
Teachers should check-in with the Merchandise booth in the lobby when they first arrive at Evolve to pick up their complimentary event program, while supplies last.
INSIDE THE VENUE
For audience members, the theatre doors will open at 8:45am each morning.
Audience members are advised to make their way to their seats early. Evolve Dance Competition may run ahead of schedule.
On-site concession available.
Designated Girls, Boys and a Universal (Gender neutral/family friendly) changeroom will be provided
BACKSTAGE
Check in with our team backstage 5 numbers before your performance.
Song & Dance Soloists can choose to be mic’d for performance. Please report backstage 7 numbers in advance.
PERFORMANCE
Livestream will be available for friends and family to watch your performance. Check out evolveTV on the Evolve Dance Competition website or the Dance Bug App to watch!
Please note, photos and videos are not permitted during performance. Free, professional photos and videos by Dance Bug are included for every dancer. CLICK HERE
AWARDS
Awards will be announced at the end of each session live on stage, and also shown on our livestream broadcast. Dancers are welcome to join us on stage for each Awards Session.
EVOLVE DANCEDOWN (OUR FINALS EVENT)
Our event will finish with the Evolve DanceDown, where extra cash and prizes will be awarded.
The Evolve DanceDown is a ticketed event. Admission = $20 Adults, $15 Youth/Seniors, $5 Dancers/Child 5 years and under.
Tickets on sale: starting Wednesday April 24th at 9AM (available for purchase online - no tickets available at the theatre)
Evolve DanceDown: Sunday April 28th at 5:30PM
Invited Routines:
Mini/Junior Studio Standout group/line from each studio (min studio 20 entries required).
Teen/Senior Studio Standout group/line from each studio (min studio 20 entries required).
Highest Scoring Performance Division entry (guest performer).
Highest Scoring Adult Division entry (guest performer).
